Japanese Aesthetics Lecture Experience Post

The Japanese Aesthetics Lecture was a nice Experience to refresh my memory of the development of the culture. I went to a lecture when I was a freshman that was very similar and addressed the same topics that were present in this one. One of the most interesting parts of the lecture was when French culture was introduced and how quickly that overtook the culture of the Japanese. I thought it was very interesting how quickly people were willing to change their customs, such as how they dressed. One of my favorite parts of the lecture was when we talked about how in Japanese art, many mistakes are exaggerated and made beautiful. That is something that I would like to try in my art in the future. I do think that it could be a challenge to turn a mistake into something beautiful, but it could create a really great piece.
