Latin American Art History Presentation

In the Presentation that was given by Dr. Jeanette Nicewinter, she talked about the art and art styles that have developed in South America, more specifically about Incan art. One of the most interesting parts of the presentation for me was the emphasis and importance of textiles within Incan culture. The clothing in Incan culture is extremely well thought out and intentionally made. I liked how they have very deliberate goals with every single piece of clothing, such as holes needing to be sewed into the clothing beforehand and never cutting a product. In the future, it could be cool to try and improve my work with creating very intentional pieces that are very well thought out and planned. Overall, I thought that the Incan art history was very interesting with it's emphasis on color and textiles and the value that they had within the culture as a whole.
